At this stage of their life, they value social interaction very highly. It is very important that they get individual attention away from the litter. This is a perfect opportunity for your puppy to get lots of daily attention from each and every family member of Royal Manor. Each person handles the puppy differently which is exactly what we want! These varying interactions ensure your puppy is exposed to different types of people, boy, girl, both young and old. Each person brings a different experience to the pup which helps ensure your puppy is well socialized and confident around all.
We enjoy taking our pups everywhere and understand that you will too. Therefore, at this stage we introduced the pups to car rides.
We have started with the crate training process. In the initial phase we introduce crates into the pen with the doors removed. This allows the pup to come and go as they want. By adding soft bedding, the crate becomes an enjoyable place to be. Over this next week we will add back the doors and allow them to spend time inside the crate with the door closed. By the end of the week your puppy will be sleeping inside the crate overnight…. At least that’s the goal!
